Freshplate was conceived in Puerto Vallarta during the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the solution. We all have to eat and two important things we can do to help stop the spread of the disease is to stay healthy and to stay home. Now you can do all three.

 

Providing an essential service

We all have to eat, making foodservice an essential service. At the most basic level, we’re helping keep Puerto Vallarta residents fed. We are not aware at this time of any reports that suggest Covid-19 can be transmitted by food. However, we follow thorough hygiene protocols when handling or preparing foods.


Helping people stay healthy

People with pre-existing conditions are at highest risk of death from Covid-19. Being healthy during the pandemic is the best way to prevent or fight contagion. We serve meals that are nutritious, prepared with quality ingredients, and that may help reduce high blood pressure, reduce bad cholesterol, regulate blood sugar levels, reduce inflammation and promote healthy digestion, among other health benefits.


Helping people stay home

To eat, we must shop for food. We can go to the store, order takeout, or order delivery. Food delivery offers the most convenient solution but options are limited and can mean contact with up to 20 people per week. It can also involve exchanging money, one of the easiest ways to contract the virus. Freshplate is the first and only service in Puerto Vallarta providing a weeks’ worth of meals in one delivery. You can pay online and we can leave your food at the door to avoid contact. It’s designed to keep you fed with healthy food while you stay home and practice social distancing.


Helping our people work safely

Our hygiene protocols meet or exceed CDC and WHO recommendations and we comply with local and state orders. Our employees travel from their homes to our kitchen by private transport as a social distancing measure, Everyone wears masks and washes hands frequently, we clean, disinfect, and sanitize often, and we limit the amount of employees in the kitchen. Our drivers practice social distancing with customers and leave deliveries at the door if possible.
